A new teaser in the official Overwatch Twitter accounts was released, showing us that a Declassified Report in the days of Overwatch.
Reinhardt saved Torbjorn's life during this experience, and everybody made it home safe using a thriving mission under their belt. It's definitely interesting, but knowing that Reinhardt is brave and Overwatch fought omnics is not anything new. The only new part of advice is the title Emre Sarioglu. Emre is a Turkish boys name, meaning friend. A Private First Class who functioned under Overwatch may be a new Hero, and it is almost time for 27 to show themselves. Emre simply became a new defendant. When Winston initiated the Recall, we saw plenty of names and faces flash by. As an Overwatch agent, Emre would happen to be one of them. There's also a mysterious figure who is emerged among additional Overwatch agents earlier, and he is this cryptic Private First Class. See that guy in the lower left? We don't know who he is. He is also shown up at the Christmas comic Reflections, as Soldier 76 gazes sadly at a picture of him. We don't know this man is Emre, also we do not know that Emre is Hero 27... but this is a very interesting hint, especially because a comparable Declassified teaser submitted on Twitter was our clue that Ana was going to be released. It is possible that Operation: White Dome is hinting at something else, but the timing is right along with the clues point toward a new hero. Let us hope we're not delivered on a Sombra-style pursuit for more facts in the coming days.

Last week, we obtained a Twitter teaser in the official Overwatchaccount sharing the tale of an Overwatch mission deep in Istanbul, Turkey against a collection of omnic forces. Ana, Reinhardt, Torbjorn, and also a Private First Class named Emre Sarioglu endured the struggle... but not easily. Torbjorn nearly perished, and Reinhardt had to step in to save him. Two new teasers have enlarged the story around Operation: White Dome, and all the clues seem to be pointing at a new hero.
This letter doesn't mention Emre whatsoever. In fact, it seems to be focused nearly entirely around Brigitte, Reinhardt's squire and Torbjorn's daughter. We have seen Brigitte from the Honor and Glory cinematic and the comic Dragon Slayer. She's a mechanic, she is buff, and she has complicated feelings about Overwatch within a business. We also understand that Reinhardt was the only one to name her, he is her godfather, and she was born following Operation: White Dome. We also received this teaser, revealing a hammer. It appears to have been developed by Torbjorn, contemplating his sensibilities and mechanical prowess. ("I'll knock some sense into you!" Also seems like something he would say.) While we can not see the whole schematic, the hammer appears to have a transformation, or there's possibly a second weapon hidden under that bit of pinned paper. At this point, it seems obvious all the clues are pointing us to a new hero. The issue is now just if it will be Emre Sarioglu or Torbjorn's daughter, Brigitte. In any event, the trail of teasers resulting in Hero 27 has been unbelievably cool, and it's always amazing to see bits of Overwatch's history emerge. A patch just hit live Overwatchservers. This contains the Sombra mini-rework that unintentionally reach live servers previously, as well as some changes to Mei and Doomfist.
The largest change would be to Sombra, who loses her health bunch ult charge, but gets a ton of utility and harm in return. She's now able to disable a lot more abilities with her Hack, including matters like Lucio's song or Genji's double jump. Add in some fans across the board, such as better primary fire and more Translocate time, and Sombra might just be one of the most frightening members of this Crime roster. Mei and Doomfist have obtained some small buffs, even though they aren't anywhere close to the scope of Sombra's changes. We should be seeing Symmetra and Torbjorn changes sometime after this patch. Blizzard World has also gotten some tweaks to its health packs, making players less reliant on their healers. The Overwatch staff had been sitting on Brigitte for quite a while. She first appeared in the Reinhardt comedian , Dragon Slayer,as the trusty squire, before making her first animated showing in Honor and Glory. Soon, she will be linking the live cast on March 20, in only a couple of short days.
There is a lot that goes into bringing a character out of the lore and making them a suitable hero, however. This behind the scenes video shows us the layout work that went into Brigitte and her two launching skins. Brigitte has been referred to as a"pally" behind the scenes, no doubt due to her similarities to the World of Warcraft style paladin. Her legendary skins emphasize both parts of her style, and the two father figures she draws inspiration from. Mechanic and Engineer have Brigitte as a tinkerer, enjoying the technical aspect of her past. Meanwhile, Máni and Sól lean hard into the knight fantasy and make her look as a hero of legend. She is a great choice for an overwatch elo boosting. We will all be able to get our hands on Hero 27 along with her amazing support kit in just a couple of days. It is well worth noting that heroes generally join the competitive roster following their live launch, so we won't see Brigitte throwing her flail about the Overwatch League phase immediately. So, to some degree, it makes sense why Blizz would say that Brigitte is just accessible normal matches until she is a little old. But at precisely the exact same time, competitive mode is supposed to pit up you against the very best of the best. It's intended to be a more competitive environment that asks more from each player. So why disability Brigitte players? Why don't you give them the opportunity to construct their skills in the high stakes environment that a lot of people flourish in?
You can't take away that decision, even if it's to help the non-Brigitte players by not giving them a"bad teammate." That is the game, that is part of what makes group based games operate. The explanation for this isn't too far off from Blizzard stating"well, when we nerfed Mercy, her triumph speed totally tanked so we are taking her from competitive until next season if she gets more alterations " This could never flyand it shouldn't. When you take away that liberty, you take away agency. Being put with random teammates can suck, sure. You will have games where some asshole will shed the entire thing for you. The one thing you can command in a group sport is how you play and that you playwith. Eliminating or time-gating heroes in the pool removes this entirely. If I had been spamming Brigitte in casual games, trying to get better , why would I play competitive this season? So I could pop in and say"wow, Brigitte could have been perfect for this situation, that is who I really wish that I could play" only for Blizzard to react with"nope." |
